Fresh Garden Chili

Ingredients
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 onions
- 1.5 lbs ground beef
- 6 cloves garlic
- 2 red peppers
- 2 cans chili beans
- 8 cups tomatoes
- 2 tsp italian seasoning
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 2.5 tsp ground cumin
- 2 tbsp chili powder
Recipe
- Melt butter in a large Dutch oven or stockpot over medium-high heat.
- Add the chopped onions and sauté until they begin to soften, approximately 5 minutes.
- Add ground beef and minced garlic. Cook until the beef is browned.
- Add the red peppers, chili beans, chopped tomatoes, italian seasoning, smoked paprika, ground cumin, and chili powder and put the lid on and reduce heat to a slow simmer.
- Simmer for at least an hour.
